Since the release of her debut EP, ‘The Arrival‘, Queen of Hearts has received rallying support from the likes of The Times, The Guardian and influential tastemakers such as Popjustice. So far, her music career has been a platter of collaborations with DJs and producers and in 2012, her track ‘Neon/Tears in the Rain’ hit the top 5 in iTunes’ electronic charts and even reached number one on The Hype Machine. This success led to a number of festival appearances, and with the premiere of this video – Queen of Hearts is sure to be gracing more stages with her powerful presence.
Featuring in her own video and true to form; cutting edge and sharply presented – Queen of Hearts is stunning in this mesmerizing and refreshingly minimalistic video. The song itself, rhythmic, punchy and highlighted with QOH’s beautifully soft and hypnotic voice is a tribute to her talent. Praised frequently for her unique taste in clothes, it’s surprising not to see Queen in something more decadent, but the unfussy framing and styling just contributes to the video’s, uh, drug like, effect.
